Technology support is provided by a two-member team located
at the Area Office, as well as separate educational technologists
who are located at the five district superintendents’
offices. In addition, DoDDS-Europe has one dedicated ET located
at every school who works directly with teachers, students and
staff to support and promote appropriate technology classroom
integration.
Area Office Team Member #1 Primary focus:
· Provide district and school
assistance regarding levels of technology integration..
·
Work with districts/schools
on the placement of technology resources in the schools.
· Work with district and school
staffs in the development and promotion of a climate conducive
to collaboration and technology integration.
· Coordinate technology projects
from DoDEA HQ.
·
Serve as a resource for Area
Office personnel on conferences and trainings with technology
components or requirements.
· Provide updated guidance
to district and school level educational technologists.
·
Serve as a member of the Internet
Web Filtering committee.
·
Serve as a clearinghouse for
technology professional development resource information for
Educational Technologists.
· Work with district and school
staff in troubleshooting and assisting with the use of technology
resources for the curricular areas.
· Serve as POC for the Professional
Technical Studies Programs.
· Provide e-mail and telephonic
support for technology resources in the curricular areas.
· Provide training/support
for new curriculum adoption technology components.
Area
Office Team Member #2 Primary focus:
· Work with districts/schools
to implement new Video Communication Courses in Professional
Technical Studies:
- Provide training
opportunities for teachers
- Develop online support structure
Inform districts/schools regarding recommended equipment
and program supplies
- Develop Europe-wide Video Fest
to showcase and celebrate student achievement
- Monitor and assess program
effectiveness
· Provide technical assistance/support
related to computers in art and music programs
· Work with districts/schools
to implement and support "Technology Leadership Community" Courses
in all Middle and High Schools
· Work with districts/schools
to train and support teachers and Educational Technologists
with INTRANET Web Programs
· Provide Educational Liaisons
with technical assistance on multimedia products to articulate
curriculum standards and "best practices"
· Work with Educational Technologists
to provide training and support for innovative technologies
· Assist with ongoing training
and support for new software as part of curriculum adoptions
· Assist districts/schools with
full integration of technology in the curriculum |
